Priory View Pre-School

December 2021 Newsletter

Dear Parents/Carers,

Curiosity and Wonder

As you all know, we are now a term into our journey on the Curiosity Approach Accreditation. I can assure you that we are very excited to observe the gradual changes to our little ‘home from home’ and the impact of these small effective changes on both the children and the staff.

We are currently making changes to the learning environment which involves providing authentic, vintage, inspirational, recycled and natural resources to inspire curiosity and a calm, purposeful environment.

We are so excited to share with you our completed environment with you all, but we are going to ask you to be a little more patient with us as we are not quite there.

In the meantime, please continue to follow our journey on our Facebook page.

Christmas Festivities

This year we are very excited to celebrate Christmas at Priory View in a slightly different way to the way in which we have done in the past.

Please make a note of the following festivities and we look forward to celebrating with you all as much as we can in the current situation:

Friday December 3rd - Photo Day

Friday December 10th - Christmas Jumper day

Monday December 13th - Last day of term

Christmas Party Day for all children

Christmas songs and mince pies at 11.30am – children will be collected first and this will take place outside in the front garden.

Monday January 10th - Start of Spring Term 2022

A reminder that we continue to adhere to the following Government guidelines:

  • A polite reminder that if your child has a continuous cough, cold symptoms or a temperature, please can they be kept at home until they are well enough to return to pre-school. It would be a real shame to have to close the pre-school due to staff and children suffering with symptoms and having to self-isolate.
  • Anyone with these symptoms will be sent home and asked to take a PCR test and to self-isolate adhering to Government guidelines, irrespective of their vaccination status or age.
  • All individuals will need to self-isolate after testing positive.
  • Individuals who have come into contact with an infected person will need to self-isolate if they are not fully vaccinated. Double jabbed individuals and under 18’s will no longer need to self-isolate if they are identified as a close contact of someone with COVID-19.
  • We continue to follow government guidelines.

We would also just ask that all visitors, parents, and carers wear masks and continue to maintain social distancing during pick up and drop off times and when entering the pre-school. We hope that we can return to some normality soon, where we can once again invite you in to see your child’s learning journey and experiences.

Please provide your child with wellie boots, a change of shoes and a warm waterproof coat for Pre-School during the Winter months. Also please dress them in warm appropriate clothing as the playroom door is continuously open in line with current COVID guidelines and also the children access the outside area throughout the entire session.

We will be using both the inside area and outside area daily – come rain, shine or snow!

For any parents not receiving grant who are paying fees, could you please ensure that any money due is paid on your child’s first session of the week. Fees are payable weekly or monthly in advance if you prefer. Online bank transfers are preferred where possible for payment of fees and contributions, where this is not possible, please speak to Christine.

Our bank details are as follows:

Thank you, take care and continue to stay safe.

Kind Regards
