Priory View Pre-School

January 2022 Newsletter

Dear Parents/Carers,

We hope you have all had a lovely Christmas break and have managed to spend time with families and friends.

Possibility of Afternoon Sessions

As the term is progressing, spaces at the pre-school are becoming very limited and we are considering the possibility of opening for two afternoon sessions during the week. To see if it would be financially viable for us to be able to proceed with this we are asking for your help! We will be sending out a questionnaire shortly to gain your views and see what interest there would be in these extra sessions so please could we ask you to complete and return this as soon as you receive it to help us with our planning.

A Plea for Potted Plants

We wondered if any of our families could kindly donate any spare potted house plants or potted garden plants (any size) to the pre-school?

As you know we endeavour to create a calm, natural environment for our children and through the guidance of ‘The Curiosity Approach’ and ‘Hygge in the Early Years’ courses this is one of the most wonderful ways to do this. We can involve the children in the care of the plants too.

Reminders

Coronavirus

A reminder that we continue to adhere to the following Government guidelines:

  • A polite reminder that if your child has a continuous cough, cold symptoms or a temperature, please can they be kept at home until they are well enough to return to pre-school. It would be a real shame to have to close the pre-school due to staff and children suffering with symptoms and having to self-isolate.
  • Anyone with these symptoms will be sent home and asked to take a PCR test and to self-isolate adhering to Government guidelines, irrespective of their vaccination status or age.
  • All individuals will need to self-isolate after testing positive.
  • Individuals who have come into contact with an infected person will need to self-isolate if they are not fully vaccinated. Double jabbed individuals and under 18’s will no longer need to self-isolate if they are identified as a close contact of someone with COVID-19.

We would also just ask that all visitors, parents, and carers wear masks and continue to maintain social distancing during pick up and drop off times and when entering the pre-school. We hope that we can return to some normality soon, where we can once again invite you in to see your child’s learning journey and experiences.

Clothing

Please provide your child with wellie boots, a change of shoes and a warm waterproof coat for Pre-School during the Winter months. Also please dress them in warm appropriate clothing as the playroom door is continuously open in line with current COVID guidelines and also the children access the outside area throughout the entire session.

We will be using both the inside area and outside area daily – come rain, shine or snow!

Fees

For any parents not receiving grant who are paying fees, could you please ensure that any money due is paid on your child’s first session of the week. Fees are payable weekly or monthly in advance if you prefer. Online bank transfers are preferred where possible for payment of fees and contributions, where this is not possible, please speak to Christine.

Our bank details are as follows:

Account Name: Victoria Peters

Account Number: 70113891

Sort Code: 40-18-00

Thank you, take care and continue to stay safe.

Kind Regards

Vicky and The Priory View Team
