Priory View Pre-School
We hope you have all had a lovely week with your little ones, following the sudden onset of stormy weather which resulted in us closing on the Friday.
Let’s look forward to some lighter, longer days and Springtime weather.
Within our January newsletter we outlined that spaces at the pre-school are becoming very popular and therefore very limited and we are considering the possibility of opening for two extra sessions during the week, which will be in the afternoons.
These sessions will commence after the Easter holidays and your Early Education Funding (EEF) Entitlement can include them if you wish.
We will definitely be offering a Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon session.
Your children may then have the opportunity to stay with us from 9am to 3pm if you wish.
For more details – please speak to Christine or Vicky.
We are also hoping to continue these sessions into September for those who would like them.
Please take a moment to see if this is relevant to you – it may help.
As you may be aware there is a rise in the National Living Wage from April 1st 2022.
In line with these rises there will be a slight increase with our additional service contribution fees starting after the Easter break from Monday April 25th 2022.
The increases are as follows:
Early Education Funded Children - £3.00 Per Session
Non Funded Children - £18.00 Per Session
As COVID guidelines begin to relax and we continue our journey to achieve a recognised Accreditation with ‘The Curiosity Approach’., we would like to offer you all the opportunity to come into the Preschool and to spend some time with your child and their Key Person. These visits will begin after our February Half term break (On Tuesday 1st March 2022).
This will enable you to chat with your child’s Key Person and to work together with them to ensure that your child feels known, understood, cared about, and safe within our setting.
As a staff team, we have been reflecting on the learning environment that our Pre-School offers to your little ones and we are now on a journey to make it the absolute best that it can be. We are so excited to now be able to involve you with our journey.
We want your children to be safe, happy, and to learn through play whilst having fun. We want them to play and learn daily in both the inside and outside environments.
To remain COVID cautious, we will organise the visits by appointment, one adult per session (other family members are very welcome to make appointments on different days).
Appointments will be from 9am to 9.30am Tuesdays to Fridays. You will be able to come in with your child at the beginning of the session.
Please see Christine so that we can make an appointment for you to visit.
We know that the children will love you all to visit.
We are very passionate about our cosy, homely provision and as a staff team we pride ourselves on offering our wonderful families a natural, authentic, safe, traditional preschool environment. Therefore, unlike many other preschool settings, we feel that in the current climate there is often an over reliance on modern technology to record and observe children and this can take us away from the joy of playing, interacting and being with our children.
We continue to record your children’s learning journey with us using photographs and ‘Wow Moments’ and you will receive a precious keepsake of memories as your child takes their steps into ‘big school’.
Our door is always open for any worries so please just ask for help if you need to.
We continue to adhere to current Government guidelines. If your child feels unwell please keep them at home.
Easter Holidays – Monday 11th April to Friday 22nd April 2022
Summer Term - Monday 25th April to Friday 22nd July 2022
Half Term Break - Monday 30th May to Friday 3rd June 2022
Thank you, take care and continue to stay safe.
