Priory View Pre-School
On November Ist 2021 we have a new member of staff starting at Priory View. This will support the growing numbers of children starting with us. We are so excited to welcome our new families to our wonderful ‘home from home’. Carol Turner is qualified to Level 2 in Childcare and Eduction. She has been a TA in a local Bournemouth school for the past 16 years working with children of all ages. Her most recent work has been with the Reception year group. Carol is friendly and approachable and we look forward to welcoming her to the team.
As you are aware we have recently embarked on a year-long journey to achieve a recognised Accreditation with ‘The Curiosity Approach’., an exciting approach to Early Years practice. As a staff team, we have been reflecting on the learning environment that our Pre-School offers to your little ones and we are now on a journey to make it the absolute best that it can be. We are so excited to be involved with this opportunity.
We want your children to be safe, happy, and to learn through play whilst having fun. We want them to play and learn daily in both the inside and outside environments. We would like to share our Setting Vision with you and this is also available in our foyer area.
Please look out for information displayed on our Parent Noticeboard (Blackboard) for you to scan and enjoy. ‘The Curiosity Approach’ have a parents introduction page which includes a short video explaining what will be happening at Priory View. There is also a magazine for parents and carers that is packed full of information!
We are so excited to have this opportunity and I promise you it will be amazing! Your children will love every moment. We would love you to be on board with us for this wonderful journey and opportunity. From time to time we may ask you for a little help to collect together some unwanted natural resources for the Pre-School.
It is very important that you let us know immediately of any change of address, telephone, email address or mobile contact details. We will be sending out weekly notices and any necessary correspondence to your email address. Please make sure we have your correct email address and that you check your emails regularly to ensure you don’t miss anything!
Could you please write your child’s name in their coats and shoes, as many children have the same style, size and width-fitting shoes at this age and confusion can easily arise, especially during role-play situations.
Please provide your child with wellie boots and a warm waterproof coat for Pre-School during the Winter months. We will be using both the inside area and outside area daily – come rain, shine or snow.
A reminder that we continue to adhere to the following Government guidelines: -
We would also just ask that all visitors, parents, and carers maintain social distancing during pick up and drop off times and when entering the pre-school. We hope that we can return to some normality soon, where we can once again invite you in to see your child’s learning journey and experiences. Please continue to read your emails. Thank you!
For any parents not receiving grant who are paying fees, could you please ensure that any money due is paid on your child’s first session of the week. Fees are payable weekly or monthly in advance if you prefer. Online bank transfers are preferred where possible for payment of fees and contributions, where this is not possible, please speak to Christine.
